Archontophoenix alexandrae

 also known as the King Palm, Alexandra Palm, or Northern Bangalow Palm, is a palm native to Australia. It's named in honor of Princess Alexandra of Denmark.

It's a tall and slender palm that can grow up to 20-25 meters in height. The King Palm has a smooth, straight grey trunk ringed with evenly spaced leaf scars and topped with a large, bright green crownshaft. It produces large, creamy white flowers that attract various types of wildlife.

The leaves of the Archontophoenix alexandrae are feather-shaped, or pinnate, and can reach lengths of around 2-3 meters. The fruits of the King Palm are small, bright red, and berry-like.

King Palms are popular for ornamental use due to their elegant appearance and are often found in parks and along streets in subtropical and tropical areas. They are also commonly used in landscaping in regions where frosts are not severe.

They grow best in well-drained soil and require plenty of water, especially in dry periods. They are able to tolerate a variety of light conditions, from full sun to partial shade.
