Syngonium podophyllum „White Butterfly“ - 20 cm plant

Trailing indoor plant with a perky habit and big leaves, lush and very attractive planted in a hanging basket. Arrow-shaped leaves, pale green with white centre, add light to planting schemes. Can be planted outside in tropical gardens although it can naturalise if it likes the location, so keep it in check near bushland. Avoid sap - handle carefully and keep away from pets and small children.

APPEARANCE : Arrow-shaped leaves, creamy white in the centre with a green margin, which emerge darker and become paler as they grow. White Butterfly is a large leaved variety with a trailing habit
USE FOR : Ideal indoor plant for a shaded patio or indoors and interior planting schemes. Suited to underplanting in tropical style gardens.
PLANTING : Plant in a humid shady spot with indirect sunlight. Prefers free draining soil or a good quality potting mix.
CARE : Water regularly during the first 12 weeks and only if soil seems dry once established. Feed using liquid fertiliser at half rate every few weeks as the plant establishes then bi-monthly. Remove the old leaves for a quick tidy up. Likes humidity, for indoor plants regular water and a spritz on the foliage will keep them happy.
